Submission Deadline August 4, 4:00 pm
aceartinc. is an Artist Run Centre dedicated to the development, exhibition and dissemination of contemporary art by contemporary artists.  ace exhibits 5 exhibitions a year by contemporary visual artists in all mediums. We welcome submissions from all emerging contemporary artists and curators aceartinc. (including individuals, groups and collectives) in all visual arts media including drawing, video, painting, sculpture, performance, installation, photography, web.
aceartinc. will pay CARCC exhibition fees to artists; travel and accommodation, one-way shipping and per-diems will also be provided.

Cartae Open School | call for applicants for November 5 to June 30
Cartae is an alternative learning space to explore contemporary art modes, ideas and criticality, and their applications to individual practices. Cartae is an initiative of aceartinc.
The School provides opportunities in the form of peer to peer learning, studio visits / workshops from ace’s exhibiting artists, screenings, artist talks, free access to all events that occur at ace during the Cartae year, and input from our sister Artist-Run Centres.

Super 8 Film Conversion Workshop
Are your family memories trapped on Super 8 film? Join us for an introduction to converting film to digital format with Mark Borowski of the Winnipeg Film Group. Participants can bring one 3-minute film and a USB drive for conversion during the workshop, or simply watch and learn. Note: Super 8 format only for this workshop.

Sir Hugh John Macdonald’s Winnipeg: a downtown walking tour with Ron Robinson
Take a walk with Sir Hugh to the Millennium Library. Sir Hugh will introduce you to the many downtown sites that touched his life. The tour will wrap up in the Local History Room where participants will learn how to find out more about the people, places, and history that surrounds us every day!

All socialized dogs are welcome to attend.
$2.00/family to help cover the costs of the rink rental.
Bring your lawn chairs, mosquito sprays, water/drinks, toys!
Make sure your dog is wearing it's City of Winnipeg License.
We will have water bowls for the dogs, and will block off any openings in the rink.

Deadbeats is a party we throw every now and then. We bring out some of Winnipeg’s best punk bands and get them on stage. But, when the show ends the party doesn’t. Drinks, relevant jams and fun in the lobby. 

DISTANCES - Melodic Punk Rock band.  Their debut self-titled EP is rich with catchy melodies and heavy-hitting hooks. 
CLIPWING - Rock and punk influenced by The Flatliners, Smoke or Fire and Foo Fighters.
UNION STOCKYARDS - Melodic hardcore punk rock. Old dudes with new ideas.
USURPER - FIGHT RIFFS
