Aqua Books: Unequal Harvest

As part of Best of Fest 2010, the Winnipeg Fringe hit Unequal Harvest, starring Kami Desilets and Brent Hirose, will be performed at Aqua Books on September 29.

The play begins at 7:30 p. m. and runs to 8:30 p. m.
Tickets are $10.

Playwright Geoff Hughes wrote Unequal Harvest to draw attention to the global food crisis.
In the style of Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues, local artists Kami Desilets and Brent Hirose present 8 stories to explore how starvation affects people as close as your back yard and as far as the grasslands of Kenya.

"...an urgent and compassionate call to understand the real lives and people behind the appalling statistic of a billion people going hungry,"  Raj Patel, author of Stuffed and Starved.

They will provoke the activist in you.

Have a great day.  How can you miss - you're in Winnipeg!
