Winnipeg's only live talk show, Kelly Hughes Live! will bring you all the trappings you've come to expect from a television talk show - comedy, music and celebrities - as part of Culture Days.
On Friday, September 24, 7:00 p. m., host Kelly Hughes will interview writer John Kendle and producer Chris Burke-Gaffney at Aqua Books located at 274 Garry Street.
John Kendle is the Editor of UPTOWN magazine and the managing editor of Canstar Community News. He is also father, boyfriend, sports fan, book nut, news nerd and music geek.
Chris Burke-Gaffney is a Canadian songwriter, producer and artist manager. He started his career as singer/bassist for The Pumps. He signed his first record deal as a teenager and toured the country with acts like Triumph, Guns N' Roses, and AC/DC.
In his twenties, he wrote his first top-ten single Miracle for Orphan. The song continues to receive heavy airplay on classic rock radio.
Songs written by Burke-Gaffney have been used in numerous movies and television shows including Chicago Hope, Malcolm in the Middle, The Real World and Providence. Burke-Gaffney also oversees CBG Artist Development and Vatikan Records.
