Aqua Books: Yoga, Food & Ignatius Mabasa

Bring your mat to Aqua Books on Friday, October 22 at 4:30 and stretch the holiday season stress out with certified Ashtanga yoga instructor Yarden Bourlas.

The class, suitable for all skills, is $10.

After all the kinks are out, browse and stay for a bite.

There's a special after dinner treat, also only $10....

At 7:00 p. m. Ignatius Mabasa will tell tales from his native Zimbabwe.

Ignatius Mabasa, veteran storyteller and award-winning writer, has published stories and poems for children and adults in English and his native language, Shona.

His most recent book The Man, Shaggy Leopard and Jackal and other stories was nominated for Zimbabwe’s National Arts Merit Award as the best book in the children’s literature category.

Mabasa has performed his stories and poems in many countries.  He will spend the fall term in Winnipeg as storyteller-in-residence at the University of Manitoba’s Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Culture.

Have a great day.  How can you miss - you're in Winnipeg!
