Dominique Rey: Photographing Your Artwork

Want to apply for an exhibition, grant or maybe even the MAWA Foundation Mentorship Program, but don’t have very good documentation of your artwork?

Come to MAWA, 611 Main St, on Tuesday, February 8, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for an Artist Bootcamp with Dominique Rey.

Free for MAWA and ACI members
$10 for non-members
No pre-registration required… just show up!

Artist Dominique Rey teaches the basics of photographing your 2-D and 3-D work.  Explore lighting options, the effects of different background, and computer tweaking.

Bring one of your pieces with you to the workshop.  It may be used as an example!

Dominique Rey is a painter, a photographer, a video artist, and a performance artist.  She has completed an MFA in photography at Bard College and is currently working on an MFA in New Media at the Transart Institute in Berlin.

Dominique Rey also performs with the Abzurbs, teaching, doing residencies, and curating.  She was appointed Winnipeg’s Visual Arts Ambassador for the 2010 Cultural Capital of Canada.
