Learn how to quilt at a MAWA quilting bee at the Winnipeg Art Gallery!
Free! Everyone welcome! All genders, ages and experience levels!
This workshop in basic quilting techniques, including appliqué, couching and raw edge appliqué, will be held next to the Quilt of Belonging, now on display.
Each participant will make a framed fabric picture and will learn to do a “turn edge”.
Go home with a framed fibre piece and some great new skills!
No previous skills are necessary. Join us for a social, stitching afternoon.
This workshop will be led by Joy Eidse. Once Joy discovered art quilts, she was thrilled about the limitless range of techniques one can use to create a quilt.
