KOATS FOR KIDS

For a kid, a coat is more than just a piece of clothing.

It's a chance to get out and do what kids do - make a snow fort, go outside for recess, walk to school. It's the difference between watching through a window and being there among your friends - just being a kid.

Please join United Way and our Koats for Kids partners by donating your new and gently used winter clothing or by volunteering.
Without you, there would be no way.

Volunteers are needed to sort coats and fill orders at the
Koats for Kids Volunteer Centre , 3172 Portage Ave.

For more information email United Way
or call Donna Albak at 586-5628

Since 1989, Koats for Kids has collected and distributed more than 145 000 coats, ski pants, hats, scarves, mittens and boots to thousands of families throughout the city.

Koats for Kids runs from September through February.
Donations of good quality winter outerwear can be dropped off at
any Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Station or Perth's location.

By donating to United Way, you're offering our kids an alternative to the streets, you're helping families gain the knowledge and tools they need to achieve financial independence, and you're encouraging the growth of healthy neighbourhoods where people can lead full and happy lives.
