On the Same Page / Translation: The Setting Lake Sun

This panel discussion features author & poet J.R. Léveillé, whose book 

The Setting Lake Sun/Le soleil du lac qui se couche is the 2011/12 selection 

of the On the Same Page province-wide book club.  

This evening, Léveillé is joined in conversation by local literary translator Mark Stout and S.E. Stewart to discuss the art of translation. 

J.R. Léveilléis a retired Radio-Canada journalist and the author of many books, essays and collections of poetry, quite a few of which have been recognized with awards. 

He oversees the Collection Rouge, Éditions du Blé's new literature series. 

S.E. Stewart is an author, publisher and translator who worked for many years with the francophones of Western Canada.

Mark Stout works as a freelance translator and translation instructor for the translation certificate program at Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface.
