Herb Society of Manitoba: Jan Allen & More!!

Meetings start at 7:00 pm, at Assiniboine Park Conservatory, 15 Conservatory Drive in Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg, and are generally held on the third Monday except July, August and December. 

Meetings generally begin with a brief presentation of Herb Society business. 
The Hospitality Committee provides herbal goodies for everyone to try during the break. 
Right after, the speaker begins their presentation.

The Herb Society of Manitoba charges guests $5.00 to attend General Meetings. 
Tthe Herb Society's annual HerbFest and Christmas Party will continue to be free to all!

February 20 - The World of Seeds
Jan Allen acquired her designation “Accredited Seed Analyst”. She oversees the Quality Control Department including the seed testing lab and the inspection of nursery stock. 

Jan is also an accomplished metal artist. She takes her inspiration from nature and a deep interest in prehistoric symbols. The tools of her trade are new and salvaged steel, a plasma cutter, welder and grinders. View works by Jan Allen.

Kat Binding works as an Herbalist and Aromatherapist. She has also been a CranioSacral Therapist for the past 10 years, most recently adding CranioSacral for Obstetrics to her practice.

April 16 - Green Tea (using sap from the Maple/Linden tree)
Jane Seniw will discuss the benefits of harvesting tree sap, as well as the cultural and influential effects of using the sap as a tea "complement".

Jane is a licensed and insured arborist. She provides a year-round tree health care service.

May 14 - Creating a Certified Naturescape Backyard
Pat Routledge will demonstrate how easy it is to provide a suitable habitat for the wide variety of species of plant and wildlife indigenous to Manitoba.

June 18 - Infused Honey Workshop & Annual General Meeting
