Dr. Bob Wrigley: Insects of Carberry Sandhills

Bugs with Bob: Insects of Manitoba’s Carberry Sandhills 
presented by Dr. Bob Wrigley

Likely the most-biologically diverse area in Manitoba, the Carberry Sandhills are home to thousands of species of insects, many demonstrating remarkable adaptations to the sandy and arid environment. Glimpse into the lives of these little-known creatures: the beetles, dragonflies, grasshoppers, wasps, bees and butterflies. 

Dr. Robert Wrigley was the Museum Director at the Manitoba Museum. 
He was the first Director of the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre, 
and spent 16 years as Curator at the Assiniboine Park Zoo before retiring in 2011.
