Frank Gardener and Henry Walker are each convinced that the other is stalking him, and they're willing to go to the ends of the earth to escape one another. 

Or, as the case may be, The Ends of the Earth, a decrepit old hotel on a godforsaken island run by the confused and confusing Willy (who's not deaf, just a little ahead of herself) and blind Alice (who despises life's tourists). 

Meanwhile, Detective Clayton is determined to unravel the real story.
