The 5-day festival will screen over 130 features, documentaries, shorts and genre films as well as a free Rogers Cinema Under the Stars outdoor beach screening each night. Beach films include Jaws 2, E.T. and the Manitoba premiere of Marley – Kevin Macdonald’s long awaited documentary on the legendary musician, Bob Marley.
The Gimli Film Festival takes place July 25 to 29 in Gimli, MB.

On Screen Manitoba will partner with the Gimli Film Festival to present
the Industry Centre Sessions.
The Gimli Film Festival Industry Centre will feature a pitching workshop with Daniel Cross, lunch with Stephanie McArthur from the Hot Docs Canadian Documentary Festival as well as a 2-part panel series and multiple networking opportunities.
These sessions feature industry guests from across the country presenting engaging panels designed to challenge conventional practises and explore strategies to produce, market and showcase your film.
Avi Federgreen (Federgreen Entertainment), Sean Cisterna (filmmaker, Moon Point), Muriel Rosilio (Farrago Media), Cam Bennett, Kim Bell (MTS Winnipeg on Demand) and Brendon Sawatzky (National Film Board of Canada) will be joining Daniel Cross and Stephanie McArthur as Industry Centre special guests.
