Oak Hammock Labour Day, Farmers' Market and Mineral Show


Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre is 30 minutes North of Winnipeg.

September 1 to 3 

Join a guide on a walk daily 11 am and 3 pm to observe some of the many shorebirds that call the marsh home. Tune into the sounds using a hand-held listening device. 
Geocaching, Craft for Kids, Face Painting and Canoe Adventures!
Join Allan Webb on a Horse-Drawn Wagon Ride on Monday from 12:30 to 4 pm. 
half-hour to forty-five minute ride
$3 for members, $5 for non-members 


September 9 

Support local artists, artisans and producers during our Farmers' Market, Art & Craft Sale.

Join a canoe excursion through the marsh, participate in fun fishing and duck games, get your face painted or cook some bannock over an open fire.
There will be a door prize draw every hour, a 50/50 draw and a Rainbow Auction Raffle.  
There will also be a BBQ & Fresh Corn on the Cob to eat!

September 15 and 16 

Archaeology, Rocks and Mineral Show and Sale 

Learn the techniques of gold panning, discover the uses of minerals and dig for fossils. 

Displays by the Archaeological Society of Manitoba, the Mineral Society of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Rocks and Minerals Club, and local gem and mineral dealers. 

Participate in our Mineral Silent Auction held both days at 1 pm and 3 pm. 
Enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride through the marsh on Sunday from 1:30 to 5:00 pm. 
Fees of $3 for members and $5 for non-members for this forty-five minute ride.
