Nigel Bart, Artbeat Studio founder and facilitator, and guests will speak. 
The Bart House Band will perform energetic traditional fiddle tunes prior to the program. 

The seventh installment of the Artbeat Studio Annual profiles 16 diverse artists from the studio’s 13th and 14th biannual exhibitions and features a beautiful collection of artworks including acrylics, photography, sculpture, and more. 

Artbeat Studio Inc. is a unique community based, peer directed program that provides social supports, working art studio/gallery space and mentorship for individuals living with mental illness, for the purpose of recovery and empowerment.

Jimmy Muir From Trois-Rivières

This is the story of a Canadian fighter pilot who flew North American Mustangs during the Second World War with No. 65 (East India) Squadron Royal Air Force. 
Historical records and conversations with Jimmy’s fellow pilots guide Sara through the summer of 1944 from D-Day to the Battle of Normandy and then to Operation Market Garden at Arnhem in The Netherlands. 
Sara's first book was Remember Me: No. 110 (Hyderabad) Squadron Royal Air Force
A writer, researcher, artist and analyst with a passion for people and their history, Sara lives in Winnipeg.

Hunger in the Balance: The New Politics of International Food Aid

Food aid has become a contentious issue in recent decades, with sharp disagreements over genetically modified crops, agricultural subsidies, and ways of guaranteeing food security in the face of successive global food crises. 
Jennifer Clapp provides a comprehensive account of the contemporary politics of food aid, explaining the origins and outcomes of recent clashes between donor nations and between donors and recipients. 
Jennifer Clapp is the author of a number of books, including Food, Toxic Exports: The Transfer of Hazardous Wastes from Rich to Poor Countries, coauthor of Paths to a Green World, and coeditor of several books. 
This event is co-presented by the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
