DIG! Magazine Rent Party

$25 advance / $30 door

Featuring live jazz and fantastic prizes, the night’s proceeds will go towards funding Winnipeg’s one-and-only jazz publication, dig! magazine.

For the night’s performance, the band will consist of Steve and Anna-Lisa Kirby, Larry Roy, Will Bonness, Qunicy Davis, Derrick Gardner and Craig Bailey.

The night will also celebrate the release of Stepchild, the new CD by the U of M Northern Prairie Jazz Ensemble - past and present members of the U of M Jazz faculty.

The CD features Steve and Anna-Lisa Kirby, Larry Roy, Will Bonness, Quincy Davis, 
Derrick Gardner, George Colligan and Jimmy Greene, and features original compositions 
by Bonness, Kirby, Greene and Davis, as well as arrangements of tunes by Cole Porter, 
Oliver Nelson, and Sting. 

Joining the U of M Northern Prairie Jazz Ensemble on stage will be the U of M Jazz Studies Alumni All-Stars: an ensemble featuring some of the top U of M Jazz Studies alumni: Heitha Forsyth, Amber Epp, Erin Propp, Will Bonness, Karl Kohut, Curtis Nowosad, 
Lucas Sader, Simon Christie, Neil Watson and Shannon Kristjanson.

Also on the bill is Quincy Davis & Promise. 
Davis leads an ensemble of current U of M Jazz students, including Joanna Majoko, 
Alex Massa, Eric Bachman, Niall Bakkestad-Lagare, Carter Graham, Jocelyn Goertzen 
and Lindsay Woolgar.
