Drop in any time for as long as you like. Demonstrations of different games will be happening all day.  All are welcome to bring their own games to play or show off!

Winnipeg Comedy Festival Preview
March 30, 8:00 pm in Prairie Ink Restaurant
Hosted by Al Rae, featuring guest comics Big Daddy Tazz and Dan Verville

Al Rae is the winner of the Just for Laughs National Homegrown Comic Competition 2000. Prior to Little Mosque on the Prairie, Al was a writer on the sitcoms Blackfly and Big Sound. He has hosted two comedy info shows for CBC Radio. His series Monsoon House with Russell Peters aired on CBC Radio in 2006. He is the winner of an Italian Prix Roma Screenwriting Prize and a Gemini Award and nomination for Little Mosque on the Prairie.

Big Daddy Tazz has been delighting crowds at fundraisers, corporate events, festivals and television. He recorded his own Comedy Now! special in 2008 and has appeared in Just for Laughs, the Moncton Comedy Festival and of course, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. At the 2008 festival, Tazz earned the moniker “Marathon Man of Mirth” after performing an unprecedented 8.5 continuous hours of stand-up.

Dan Verville, one of the youngest comics to headline Rumor’s Comedy Club, has been a part of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and has entertained at a variety of events.

Manitoba Chamber Orchestra Pre-Concert Talk

Roy Goodman, conductor, and Caitlin Broms-Jacobs, oboe will be on hand to discuss the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra concert on April 2, which re-creates the first MCO concert.

Manitoba Chamber Orchestra: Roy Goodman & Friends Recreate First MCO Concert
April 2, 7:30 pm
Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster at Maryland

The Manitoba Chamber Orchestra remembers how it all began 40 years ago. 
Former MCO Music Director Roy Goodman will welcome soprano Tracy Dahl and oboist Caitlin Broms-Jacobs to the stage to recreate most of the first MCO concert ever.

Two of the works performed in that first concert have become staples in the MCO's repertoire: 'Les Illuminations,' Benjamin Britten's setting of the poem by Arthur Rimbaud; and Edvard Grieg's 'From Holberg's Time.' 

Pre-concert event, 6:45 pm
Hear a special presentation by the Beautiful Saviour Lutheran School strings group.

Pizza Club - Book at least three days in advance for free pizza and a pre-concert presentation by Haley Rempel. (included with any concert ticket, space permitting)

Tickets are $26.50 for adults, $24.50 for seniors and $7.50 for students, including GST, and are available at McNally Robinson, the West End Cultural Centre (586 Ellice at Sherbrook), Organic Planet (877 Westminster Avenue)

Winnipeg Comedy Festival Park Theatre Show
