Having just wrapped a Canadian arena tour supporting Metric this November, Stars promptly decamped to Europe to continue the musical journey of their latest and greatest album, The North. The tour that will bring Stars to Winnipeg will also take the quintet through Australia, Asia, the U.S. and back through Canada.

Hayden with special guest Lou Canon
March 30

Having spent nearly two decades creating uniquely affecting music defined by deep personal sentiment and attracting listeners across musical genres, Hayden now signs to Arts & Crafts for the release of his seventh full-length record, Us Alone.

It's a new beginning for Hayden, who was inspired to take things more seriously after his Wikipedia page listed him as deceased.
"I was dead six months before anyone noticed," the songwriter muses.

Winnipeg Folk Festival: Yukon Blonde and Zeus
The Pyramid Cabaret
April 3

Yukon Blonde’s sophomore album Tiger Talk was the #4 most played album of the year at Canadian college and campus radio, was long listed for The Polaris Music Prize and has garnered widespread critical acclaim. The lead single “Stairway” was featured on commercials for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Zeus' Busting Visions follows 2010 Polaris Prize nominated debut Say Us, which topped CBC charts, won XM The Verge’s award for Album of the Year, garnered stellar reviews from top rock mags and led to shows with Broken Social Scene, Metric, Sam Roberts Band, Bright Eyes and Belle & Sebastian.

Driven by multi instrumentalists/vocalists Mike O'Brien, Carlin Nicholson and Neil Quin as well as drummer Rob Drake, they operate out of Toronto's scrappy east end.
