Winnipeg-based Dixieland swingers, The F-Holes, are set to bring a big ol’ party to the WECC, including an opening set backed by some of their favourite local artists, Andrew Neville, Jess Reimer and Jay Nowicki. We expect a party to break-out on the dance floor.
Red Hot includes 10 unique versions of songs from Tom Waits to Nintendo composer
Koji Kondo. The fantastic artwork for Red Hot (done by Sheldon Sveinson at the Fire and Water Festival) includes drawings of some of the venues they’ve played.

10Th Annual 7th Generation Walk for Mother Earth

The walk this year is in support of the
VOICES OF INDIGENOUS WOMEN and in solidarity with INM.

Flaming Trolleys Marching Band
Walk leaves Edmonton and Portage at 2:15 pm, heading to the Oodena Circle for a water ceremony and free picnic. Take to the streets with drums, a cup and plate/banners/placards/songs/kids to honour the women and Mother Earth.

The 7th Generation Walk for Mother Earth is an alternative, earth day event, founded by three Indigenous Women - Judy DaSilva, Chickadee Richard and Betty Maud as a way of claiming the day for Indigenous Peoples protecting Mother Earth for future generations.
