Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) Workshop
November 20 - 12 to 2 p.m. 
Mapping simulation as well as hands-on use of GPS, and geocaching, a scavenger hunt involving GPS and GIS. 
Workshop fee is $5 plus admission.

Astronomy Night - "Astrophotography - Not for the faint hearted"
November 21 - 7 p.m. 
Jay Anderson will introduce you to the whole field, from the type of telescope to use, the mountings to consider, the cameras, and a discussion of basic processing.  

Second annual Trivia Night fundraising event
November 23 - 6:30 p.m. 
Registration is $10 per person and participants will be divided in teams of 4 and 6. 
Tickets can be purchased at the Interpretive Centre. 
Enjoyable nature related skill-testing questions as well as a silent and rainbow auction (snacks are available for purchase as well as a cash bar). All proceeds will go towards wetland education programming. 

Kids Nature Craft Club
 November 30 - 1 p.m. l Pre-registration l Workshop fee is $5 plus admission. 
Discover the many ways plants and animals get ready for winter. 
Make a beautiful place-mat for your table using colourful leaves. 
Appropriate for children ages 5 to 10.

Everett Hopfner, a proud native of Ste. Rose du Lac, has been celebrated for his passionate and inventive performances of contemporary repertoire!  He graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Piano Performance) in 2010 at Brandon University, and was also a 2008 WMC Scholarship winner.  He is the 36th Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition Winner

Sue Proctor: Mime, Clowning and Storytelling 
Monday, 7:30 - 9:30 pm, for 5 weeks beginning November 18

Techniques for cultivating creative thinking, problem-solving, focused on clowning to explore the expression of your own creativity. Develop a storytelling persona, and learn to use humour.  This class is for actors, storytellers, writers, students, artists and service providers.

Sue Proctor is a performer and workshop leader with the Winnipeg International Storytelling Festival and has developed many original stories and theatre pieces. A teacher with MTYP, Artists in the Schools and a member of the Manitoba Storytelling Guild, Sue has a M.A. in Theatre and Development, as well as background in commedia dell’arte, arts education, theatre for people with disabilities, and clown performance.
