January 16 - Festival Opening Show

                   members of the Indigenous Writers Collective
                   launch of Writing for Change
January 17 - New Stories for a New Generation

                   with Richard Van Camp
                   a showing of Mohawk Midnight Runners
January 18 - Cage Match 2014

                   Cree vs Anishinaabe: A Comedy head to head

Saturday starts at 10 am with readings and panels all day at Millennium Library.

The Manitoba Writers’ Guild is proud to present an evening of dialogue between two sibling powerhouses: Jian Ghomeshi, host of CBC’s Q and author of 1982, and his sister Jila Ghomeshi, Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Manitoba and author of Grammar Matters: The Social Significance of How We Use Language.
