Reading & Signing Path of the Heart and Echo of the Soul

Wilma Derksen is best known for her writings on the aftermath of murder following the tragic loss of her daughter, Candace Derksen in 1984. Her two new stories (Path of the Heart and Echo of the Soul) capture a life journey. Young Ava travels down a path to her grandmother’s house, but where will the trail actually lead? What will she learn?
Join us as Wilma reflects on her personal insights regarding the journey.

Mother of the Year and Other Elusive Awards

Kalyn throws open the doors into the world she shares with her autistic son, Noah. While she is frank about experiencing the darkness of grief and worry, her story is remarkable for exposing the laughter, the deep connection with others, and the optimism that so obviously buoy her. Kalyn reminds the reader of the hope and joy that is to be found even amidst isolation and struggle.
Kalyn Falk, MA, is a spiritual director, author and retreat guide. She has 2 sons.
