Spend your lunch hour with WSO musicians at two great locations this August and be treated to two FREE noon hour concerts featuring the Calosoma String Quartet.

The Calosoma String Quartet was founded in 1997 and is comprised of four friends within the string section of the WSO: Mary Lawton, violin; Mona Coarda, violin; Laszlo Baroczi, viola; and Arlene Dahl, cello. The quartet has an eclectic repertoire: from Bach to the Beatles, Haydn to Hendrix, and Purcell to Piazzolla, providing varied programming to appeal to a wide range of musical tastes.

All socialized dogs are welcome to attend. 
Bring your lawn chairs, mosquito sprays, water/drinks, toys! 
Make sure your dog is wearing its City of Winnipeg License.

We will have water bowls and jugs of water for the dogs. 
We will also block of any openings in the rink using baby gates and x-pens.

Aboriginal Music Week produces concerts in neighbourhoods throughout the city in an effort to make it easier for families to walk to the venues, but music lovers from outside the neighbourhood are more than welcome to attend.

A family friendly environment (no beer gardens) with great sound and exceptional music in great community settings.

The Aboriginal Music Week Stage at Spence Neighbourhood Block Party
Winston Wuttunee, Nikki Komaksiutiksak, Joe Maxim Band, and special guests!!
The concert is set for an outdoor stage beside the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre and SNA has several other activities planned for the celebration.

Tall Paul, an Anishinabe MC from Leech Lake, Minnesota, noted for Prayers in a Song.
Mariame, a Cree pop/R&B singer from Montrea, released her debut album, Bloom.
Hellnback, a co-founder of Warparty and a forward for Team Rezofficial, has re-emerged.
T-Rhyme is from northern Saskatchewan. Along with music, her artistry flows through her Beads, Rhymes & Life jewelry line.
Boogey The Beat is the principal producer behind the the introductory music for CBC's New Fire with Lisa Charleyboy.
