The Winnipeg Humane Society is offering 
$5 spay and neuter surgeries in February 
to low-income people in Winnipeg. 

Humane society-subsidized surgeries normally cost $25.

So You Think You Can Act is a fundraiser supporting the theatre work of Sarasvàti Productions. It will feature celebrities, famous for things other than theatre, testing their acting chops. The audience chooses the winner. 
There will also be fantastic raffle prizes plus a reception!
We are featuring past winners and favourite competitors in an all-star edition. 
Scenes will tackle the theme of ‘Breaking Out’, exploring fame, big breaks and divas!  
Some scenes contain strong language.

Past winners include Ace Burpee (Virgin Radio), Al Simmons and Kerri Salki, Big Daddy Tazz and Troy Westwood.  Last year’s trophy went to the RWB’s Andre Lewis.

Frostbite Circus presents this year's brand new production of Heartache Hotel, a theatrical circus show. Andrea Del Campo, Joe Ackerman and Stephen Halas take us through an eerie old hotel where each room is haunted by incredible acts, puppetry, pole art, contortion, hand balance, aerial, juggling, unicycle, live music, dance, etc. 
Some mature content not recommended for small children.

A grassroots cause to feed the less fortunate on the cold streets of Winnipeg on the first and third Sunday of each month.  We go out regardless of the weather.  Please dress to be outside.  We are family friendly!  Come and be part of the village!
We meet at North Centennial Leisure Facility, 90 Sinclair St. starting at 11 am.
We cook, prep food items, and head down to Main St, at Dufferin Ave. for 3 pm, where we hand out lunch to 150 hungry people.  We feed all races, all ages.  No one is turned away.
We accept clothing donations directly to the street during the day of lunch.  Boxes are a good method of delivery.
Toiletry donations are accepted.  Please give directly to the Bannock Lady herself.
Goodies are welcome, they deserve a treat now and then too!

Collective Corps presents Intermedia artist Freya Björg Olafson’s new performance work CPA [Consistent Partial Attention]. The performance offers a paradoxical meditation on what it means to be present in our contemporary screen-obsessed world. In partnership with dancers, Lise McMillan of Winnipeg and James Phillips of Montreal, Olafson constructs an experience which interrogates the impact of technology on our bodies and psyches.     Video Trailer

The Personal is Political: PCWM General Meeting
The aim will be to initiate thinking critically for the upcoming provincial election.
Three speakers, Sally Papso, Sara Usman, and Alexa Potashnik, will highlight the ways in which policy alters and impacts us.  Please join us at this story-telling event, to connect women and their lives to political and proactive thought. 
This event is free, light refreshments will be provided. 
Free parking in the SMD Building parking lot; register with the security desk.
