Operation Red Nose operates across Canada during the Christmas holiday season, offering party-goers a free, safe ride home.

The service, which runs on Friday and Saturday nights (Saturday and Sunday for New Year's Day) in Winnipeg, is free but donations are accepted and forwarded to local community organizations.

Those in Winnipeg who want the service can call 204-947-6673 (NOSE).
A team of 3 Red Nose volunteers will pick you up and drive you in your own vehicle to the destination of your choice, for free.

CARE Cat Community Outreach Program

We have openings for low income residents of the City of Winnipeg for $5 cat spaying and neutering, thanks to the "We Are Here For The Animals, We Are Here For You" program, a partnership between CARE, The Winnipeg Humane Society and Winnipeg Animal Services.
Funding comes from the FixIt grant, money raised from City of Winnipeg cat licensing.
Sorry, we cannot fit in cats from outside the city.
C.A.R.E. (Cat Advocacy Rescue & Education) is a nonprofit organization that works to spay/neuter stray and owned cats of low income families within the City of Winnipeg.   admin@carecatswinnipeg.ca

Noson Carolau 2017 - The Welsh Society of Manitoba-Cymdeithas Gymreig will get an early start on the festive season with an evening of merriment. The choir is working up some pieces, there will be a cash bar and goodies.
2018 memberships are still $15. They will go up to $20 at the end of the year.

Family Farm Experience Day
Milk the goats by hand, collect some eggs from the hen house, feed that alpacas, and brush the horses. Then we’ll head into the kitchen to make ourselves a nourishing home-grown stew and fresh bannock. Our afternoon activity will be to card alpaca fleece and make a felted alpaca soap bar and a pin with our favourite Aurora Farm critter.

Make your own designer batch of goat milk soap
One batch of soap which will cut to approximately 24, 110gr bars is $25 base price plus 60 mls of essential oils which you may purchase at wholesale price from Aurora Farm or Hollow Reed Holistic on Corydon Ave. 
Cutting and picking up of the soap will be the following day from 6-7pm.
