July: Through the Forest
Kara Perfanick is a visual artist and graphic designer who emphasizes the deep connection between the human soul, the earth, and its life forces.

Kara works with elements of nature as well as that of spirituality and the human consciousness to tell her story. She hopes to inspire connectedness, peace, and love into the hearts of others.

August: Peru: Traditional Dance & Dress
The Peruvian-Canadian Association of Manitoba welcomes you to experience Peruvian history. 
This photo exhibit shows the beauty of centuries-old traditional costumes and dance, combining native, Spanish, and African roots. The vibrant colour of ponchos, dresses, blankets, layered skirts, chullos, and ornaments express deep love for the rich heritage and traditions.

Join us for a free screening of A Plastic Tide - a documentary that gives a representation of what effect the global problem of plastic pollution is having on the oceans and its inhabitants, avian wildlife and the human population.

Grant-Writing for Media Artists with Bev Pike - everything you need to know about putting together and submitting a grant. Your application needs to pitch your story in the right way to the jurors. Learn how a jury makes its decision and tips to make your application convincing. You will receive individual and group support. Pens and paper available.

Bev Pike has written project and operating grants for organizations. She has received senior arts grants from WAC, MAC and Canada Council. Pike is known for her large-scale land-form paintings, videos and artist-books. Her works are in the Tate Modern and the Victoria and Albert Museum in England, and in public and private collections.

aceartinc. exhibits 5 major exhibitions a year by contemporary visual artists and is dedicated to diversity. We encourage applications from all contemporary artists and curators, groups and collectives in all visual arts media. But we only have the chance to exhibit you if you apply. 

The gallery also runs several ongoing projects and is the proud home of Flux Gallery, the Cartae Open School, and an Indigenous Curatorial Residency. Many successful Canadian artists have shown work at ace. We are an established (but not establishment) part of Canadian contemporary art.

Please join Winnipeg Architecture for a free tour of the new home of Republic Architecture. Designed by Geoffrey Baragh of Waisman Ross and Associates, the New York Life Insurance Building at 385 St. Mary Avenue was constructed in 1957-58 by Peter Leitch Construction Limited. This was one of the first new office building constructed in downtown Winnipeg following the Second World War. In 2018 Republic Architecture purchased and rehabilitated the building for their new offices.
