Women's Voices Training - West Central Women's Resource Centre

The Women’s Voices Project is a volunteer-based project which aims to enhance the leadership skills of community women.
We consider communication skills, decision making, cultural and community awareness, and self-care to all be valuable leadership skills.

Following 6 days of leadership training, women will be placed with a mentor who is already connected to another community organization. Together, with The Women’s Voices Coordinator, they will work together to set goals, keep a volunteer log, and engage in a meaningful volunteer experience that may include but is not limited to attending board, committee, or advisory council meetings, and participating in educational and/or community events.

If you are a woman from the community who is interested you can stop by The West Central Women's Resource Centre, 640 Ellice Avenue, and pick up an application form or download one from our website.

For more information or if your organization would like to refer someone who is interested in mentoring a woman, please contact
The Women’s Voices Coordinator 204-774-8975 ext. 221 or email.

The application must be returned by August 15.
There will be 6 full day training sessions on Aug 28, 29, 30 and Sept 5, 6, and 7.
The Women’s Voices Project welcomes all women-identified people to apply.
