This year it is in honor of my stepmother Minda Dobres and my Safta (Grandmother) Malkah Mansoor who lost her battle with breast cancer when I was too young to remember her... Fran started the Cancer Schmancer Foundation to transform women from patients into medical consumers, and to shift the priority from searching for a cancer cure towards prevention and early detection of cancer.
