Price is $5 per family, dogs are free :)

Dogs are welcome to dress up in costumes. 
Prizes for best costume, a 50/50 draw and refreshments for humans and furry friends.
We will have some new craft items and the Show and Save books.

PANACHE presents 'AN EVENING WITH PANACHE', the 2013 Faces West Gala Fashion Show & Fundraiser.  They will present a selection of Winnipeg's finest retailers.  

PANACHE will introduce the 2013 Faces West Team, new talent who will be going in November to Vancouver, as well as international guest models. Also presented on the runway will be the Panache Models who are just beginning their professional careers.

Itty Bitty Bits featuring a musical performance from Francis Leonard of the Secondhandpants

When Molly’s mom tells her that she cannot have her friend come for a sleepover until her room is clean, Molly decides it is much too big a job for her. In the end she watches a tiny ant, and sees how he takes on a huge task and gets it done, itty bitty bit, by itty bitty bit.  

Author of nine books for young readers published in Canada and Europe, Anita Daher is also editor at Great Plains Teen Fiction. Wendy Bailey has been a multi media Manitoba artist and illustrator for almost 30 years. Itty Bitty Bits is her third picture book.

Louis Riel: A Comic Strip Biography: 10th Anniversary Edition
Presented in association with Le Musée de St. Boniface Museum

Louis Riel tells the story of the charismatic nineteenth-century Metis leader. When the collected book appeared in 2003, Brown won widespread acclaim, including two Harvey Awards and inclusion on countless best-of lists. 

Chester Brown is the cartoonist behind the Yummy Fur comic book series, and the author of graphic novels and memoirs, including Paying for It, Louis Riel, and Ed the Happy Clown. He will be joined in conversation by Candida Rifkind, Associate Professor of English at the U of W.

RESILIENCE: Women’s Stories of WWII

RESILIENCE documents the memories of twenty-three women (six from Manitoba) as they describe their involvement with this historic conflict. 

Shirley Grosser spent the war years in a remote First Nations community in northern Manitoba. She is a former professor of Social Work at the University of Manitoba.
