Six shacks, which can double as a garden shed, were built and painted by Selkirk students and artists as a fundraiser. The shacks will be displayed on Manitoba Avenue East during the city’s Holiday Alley celebration and auctioned on Dec. 2.

The lack of rail line left the Churchill residents without ground transportation in and out of their remote northern community.

I want the children of Churchill, Manitoba to have a special Christmas and to know that Manitobans care about their situation.   Christmas for Churchill is a toy, food and monetary drive. We need to fill Santa’s sleigh that is headed to Churchill. Let’s show how much Manitobans care!!
