We’ve never had a performer that co-wrote a song that sold over 15 million copies, or once sat on Elvis’ shoulders. His songs have been among the longest running on the Billboard Top 100 and they regularly appear in movies, television, and television commercials.
He co-wrote “You Were Meant For Me” with Jewel. Fans have adored him since he fronted the punk-folk legends, The Rugburns. His live shows captivate audiences with a mix of singing, storytelling, shredding, and occasional rants which have incited riots.

Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, a Noh-Wave prog collective, a black-and-white (and sometimes red) theatre company, an operatic psych cult, and the speculative prophets of humanity’s impending doom. Above it all, though, they’re a thunderous rock band, and on their third album, DIRT, they’re the heaviest they’ve ever been.

They’ve added singer Joanna Delos Reyes, guitarist Hiroki Tanaka and bassist Brandon Lim, who, along with the towering drums of leader/artist Alaska B, singer/theatre artist Ange Loft and keyboardist Brendan Swanson, turn the group into an engine of sound.

DIRT is the band’s first album since 2013’s UZU, their second to be shortlisted for the Polaris Prize as one of the best Canadian albums of the year. The album was conceived as the soundtrack for an unreleased Haudenosaunee and Buddhist themed Anime produced in 1987. http://www.brooklynvegan.com/stream-yamantaka-sonic-titans-new-album-dirt/

The imposing five-dome church is partially modelled on Kyiv, Ukraine’s Saint Sophia Cathedral and took nearly 14 years to build. Work began in 1949, based on a design by Green Blankstein Russell.
A fire in 2016 caused extensive damage, which has now been repaired.
