Stratascape: An Exploration of Surface Layers
Nov 1, 7 - 10 pm - opening reception with wine, cheese, and contemporary ceramic art. 

Through the use of raw unglazed porcelain, Rachael Kroeker has been exploring surface, the relationship created to the viewer/ user in both visual and tactile ways, while balancing form, beauty and functionality.

Door donation for reception night: $5.00 (artists participating get in free)

Each work can be sold from as low as 10 dollars to a maximum of 1000 dollars and the artist retains 100% of the profit! Last year’s exhibition had over 60 artists from Manitoba, across Canada, and even included international artists.

Urban will be showcasing filmmaker Darryl Nepinak from a 10 year span of his career. 
Included: Last of the Nepinaks, I for NDN, Lone Ranger, Indian, Zwe Indianer Aus Winnipeg, plus two new film projects.  Darryl Nepinak (Saulteaux) is currently working on The Band Office, which won the best drama pitch competition at imagineNATIVE 2010. Nepinak is the Video Club Facilitator at the Winnipeg North End Arts Centre.

The Craig Street Cats fundraising team is looking for one new monthly donor per day, for the next 30 days. Donors cover shelter's costs such as vet bills, food, utilities and equipment and provide a stable source of funding.
