Winnipeg’s terra cotta collection is large and essentially complete. It is an unparalleled sampling in North America of the variety, versatility and beauty of this material. Join us for a tour through Winnipeg's downtown to learn more about terra cotta, of Winnipeg's history and to view this wonderful collection of architecture.

The Winnipeg Architecture Foundation free tour, led by Gail Perry, will take about ninety minutes. All surfaces will be wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Trampoline is an anti-rock outfit, with the evocative songwriting of Michelle Lecnik and Steve Martens (drums) and Joey Penner (bass, vocals). The arrangements blend punk, indie rock and prog, with elements of folk and 90's rock nostalgia.

Forest Pilots’ playing shifts between heavy, metal influenced riffs, to mellow and spacious psychedelia. The trio consists of: Troy Graham (Percussion/Vocals), John Pelland (Bass Guitar), and Tanner Stregger (Guitars/Synthesizers/Lead Vocals).

Formed in 2018, Death Cassette is a punk band from Winnipeg.

Boots Riley: Class, Race and Resistance in the 21st Century
Founder of the political Hip-Hop group The Coup, Boots Riley is a musician, rapper, writer and activist, whose feature film directorial and screenwriting debut - 2018’s Sorry to Bother You - received the award for Best First Feature at the 2019 Independent Spirit Awards, and 2019 Critics Choice Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Film (Comedy). Boots’ activism espouses a pro-labour position. Riley was nominated this year by the Director’s Guild of America for Outstanding Directorial Achievement (First-Time Feature Film).

CCPA-MB's event will include a Q and A with Canadian black feminist writer Robyn Maynard. Activist, educator and author, Maynard’s most recent book is entitled, Policing Black Lives: State Violence in Canada from Slavery to the Present.

A portion of the proceeds will be shared with Fight for $15 and Fairness Manitoba, a local group working to advance fair living wages and the rights of precarious workers.

Spotlight - The RWB School Professional Division’s performance will feature an excellent blend of classical and contemporary ballet featuring Mark Godden’s The Marshmallow Test.
Claire Marshall and Jolene Bailie have each created a piece with the Level 1-5 students to the music of Mark Cameron and Dave Brubeck. 
RWB School Alumni Jera Wolfe will present a contemporary duo.
The beauty of classical ballet will be told through an excerpt of Le Corsaire, through a scene where a flower garden comes to life.
Students will perform highlights of the ballet Gayaneh, the story is of a young Armenian woman whose patriotic convictions conflict with her personal feelings after she has discovered her husband’s treason.
