We know that the vaccines approved for Covid 19 are mRNA type vaccines. There's lots of questions on how they work. The road we have ahead of us… is really trying to steer people towards the information that they can get that is actually factual, science-based, Michelle Kirkbride from NorWest Co-op Community Health discusses addressing vaccine hesitancy in Manitoba. We want everyone to have access to accurate information for Covid vaccines and all health information.

Casting a line Panel Discussion
Moderated by curator Mariana Muñoz Gomez, this online panel discussion will explore the themes of the exhibition Casting a line from the perspective of the artmakers: Joi T. Arcand, Florence Yee, Hassaan Ashraf, Annie Beach, and Niamh Dooley.
The artists use language in their works as a tether through time, reimagining communication, power, healing and relation outside of imposed settler colonial structures. This exhibition was developed as Muñoz Gomez’s practicum project, as part of her Master’s in Cultural Studies: Curatorial Practices at the University of Winnipeg.
Auto captioning will be available if you are watching with Zoom.

Leaf Rapids is Keri Latimer’s (previously of JUNO-award-winning Nathan) opportunity to croon about vultures circling their prey, barbershop stabbings, and love letters from smallpox quarantines in her disconcertingly sweet voice. Their sound has been described as ‘Cinematic Folk’ and includes the eerie sound of the theremin.
