Municipal Elections

General municipal elections are held every four years on the fourth Wednesday in October.  This includes elections for mayors / reeves, councillors and school trustees.

Please join us for our first monthly Experiencing Shakespeare Reading Series, where actors, artists, students and lovers of Shakespeare can gather to share the experience of reading one of the Bard's plays aloud. 
Our first play will be Coriolanus.
It is our belief that practical workshops may spring from these gatherings.

Winnipeg CX 2014: Canadian Cyclocross Championship 

October 24 - cyclocross derby, featuring races for riders of all abilities. It will also include numerous educational opportunities and social events to introduce newcomers to the sport of cyclocross.

October 25 - the Canadian Cyclocross Championships
Cheer on some of the country’s top athletes and witness the crowning of national champions.

October 26 the Manitoba Grand Prix of Cyclocross, an international competition open to professional and amateur racers.

Winnipeg's Anarchist Bookfair Canzine Diyfest kicks off with a friday evening cabaret, includes "Canzine Central" all day Saturday, a second cabaret on Saturday evening, and features discussion and DIY skills workshops both Saturday and Sunday with bookfair tabling continuing Sunday afternoon Oct 26.
