Happy Sixth Anniversary to Us!! by Margaret Ullrich

Wow!!  Six years!!
Happy Birthday to Winnipeg is Better Than Chocolate!!

And thank you for visiting, whether you dropped in on a daily, weekly or occasional basis during the past six years!

I'm always amazed at learning where you live.
From the beginning, when I started this blog in 2009, Canada was always the number one country for visitors.
Well, there's been a change.
Canada is no longer number one for visitors.
The United States is the top visitor now!

Maybe it's due to the change in our dollar's value.
Tourists can sure get a great bang for their vacation buck in Canada.
Hope they are enjoying a lot of great events in Winnipeg.

Now the top ten countries and their visitors are:
United States……….. 75,777
Canada…………………. 74,872
Germany………………. 38,387
Russia…………………… 25,901
Ukraine.………..………. 9,630
France……………………. 9,480
United Kingdom….…. 3,503
China……………………... 2,349
Slovenia………….……… 1,976
Poland………….………… 1,523

During the years there have also been visitors from Moldova, Turkey, Ireland, Australia,
Singapore, Taiwan, Argentina, Denmark, Japan, Sweden, Eritrea, Italy, Finland, Spain,
the Netherlands, Macedonia, Mexico, Afghanistan, Thailand, Slovakia, Bangladesh, India,
Israel, Malaysia, Kuwait, Greece, Kenya, Vietnam, Czech Republic, Portugal and Namibia
- just to name the top visitors - checking out events in Winnipeg.

Wow!!
According to Blogger there have been over 281,600 visitors over the past six years!
Thank you for taking an interest in events happening here in Winnipeg!

It’s also been interesting learning what types of events you’re interested in attending.
Believe me I’m paying attention to which posts get the most visits.
I’ll be posting more of those, and similar, events.

Hope you’re also enjoying hearing the music from our new, up-and-coming musicians!
Please take a moment and comment when a post interests you.
Local artists do check when they’re in the media and they love the feedback.

You may have noticed I’m posting less frequently.
I’ve cut back on posting on events that didn’t seem to appeal to you.

Since I don’t post on a daily basis, why not become a subscriber?
By submitting your email address you won’t miss a post.
It’s easy and free to sign up!

As I said when Sophie and I signed off our weekly show...
Have a great weekend. How can you miss - you're in Winnipeg!
