680 CJOB presents The Big Boom Theory 3: The Early Years

What if I told you there was a day – almost twenty years ago – when Sheldon, Leonard, Bernadette and Penny all met each other, but didn’t know it? Let’s flashback to the year 1998; Titanic wins eleven Oscars and Windows 98 is released to the public. All our beloved scientists – and Penny – are seniors in high-school, when a series of serendipitous events causes their lives to collide for just one day. Watch as Leonard and Sheldon meet for the very first time and witness the start of the Penny/Leonard (or Pennard) romantic saga!

So crimp your hair, put on your jean jacket, grab your Beanie Baby and come see the origin story of your favourite nerds. All set to the best songs of the weirdest decade – that’s the 90s for those following along.
This isn’t your average prequel…it’s a Geekquel!

Black Thunder’s heavy psychedelia has been mutating in subterranean Regina Saskatchewan since 2009. Drawing upon the musical instincts of a trio of metal-and-psych-adjacent album hunters, their music builds in the borderlands between the labyrinths of progressive rock guitar riffs, boggy 70s hard psych basslines, and the amphetamine alleyways of proto-glam drumming.
