As the child of Gaia (Mother Earth), we need to be feel connected to her and grounded. Grounding can make a difference in the way we walk in this world as it provides us with that firm and level intention.
Join Marci Sealey and Marion Josey Birch as they present the foundation of grounding and its purpose. Experience various techniques of grounding and come away with a method that resonates with your style, enabling you to incorporate healthy habits into your life.

January 22, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Marci Sealey and Marion Joseph Birch collaborate and explore
the Art of Cutting Cords, Hooks and Healing.
In relationships or interactions our energy can be the energy that can drain us. This is especially if the relationship is toxic, emotionally draining or abusive. Sometimes we feel obsessed with someone or we may feel disrupted by dreams or thoughts of them.
Ethereal cords can continue to bind you to that person, as the energy continues to flow back and forth as spiritual author Doreen Virtue said, “The etherized cord acts like a hose, with energy directed back and forth between two people”. This can happen even if you are no longer in the relationship.
If you recognize a draining feeling, from a workplace, obsessive thoughts or disruptive feelings that are wearing down your self esteem, perhaps this is the workshop for you. Or if you want to break contact with someone, this maybe your first step and organizing yourself to disengage with them.

Inuktitut Songwriting with Kelly Fraser
Originally from Sanikiluaq, Nunavut, Kelly Fraser has performed across Canada, especially in the Arctic. Kelly uses her pain as inspiration to make art that can positively impact other native youths. She seeks to spread her messages of joy, healing, and cultural pride through a blend of traditional Inuit music and modern production.
Kelly sings and raps in both English and Inuktitut, seamlessly blending the two languages to make the music speak to both Inuit and Qallunaat (“southerners”).
Kelly teaches Inuktitut language lessons and songwriting, does cultural and motivational speaking, and helps to organize Nunavut Hitmakerz, a project which aims to give underprivileged Nunavummiut youth opportunities to learn creative expression and technical skills.

New Mistakes - Canada’s Terra Lightfoot
Shot through with the guitarist-vocalist’s powerful, bluesy soul, vivid lyrics and ferocious six-string virtuosity, it’s an unforgettable outing. Lightfoot’s stunning, soulful voice powers her emotional wallops, belted out with nuclear swagger over the rock ’n’ soul grooves of “Hold You,” battling things out with a righteous Jake Clemons sax solo during its climax.
