November 20 marks the sixth annual Winnipeg Transgender Day of Remembrance (WTDOR) and the twelfth annual International TDOR.
This day serves as an opportunity to recognize, honour, embrace, celebrate and remember the people who encounter or endure discrimination, prejudice, persecution, isolation or violence because of their gender identity and/or expression.
WTDOR 2010 will focus on the violence experienced by trans identified individuals, the work of allies to the transgender community and obstacles faced by trans people living in Winnipeg.

There'll be a FREE screening of the movie Diagnosing Difference and a short film from Sage House.
Stay for snacks and a discussion.

The rally and vigil
Saturday, November 20 at 5:00 p. m.
at Thunderbird House, 715 Main St.
They will be handing out an agenda after the moment of silence.
There will be one song drummed.
All drum holders are invited (women should wear skirts).
Sage house has drums and skirts.

Remember those we've lost to violence.
TDOR is also about raising awareness, educating and advocating for the rights and recognition of individuals who identify as transgender, transsexual, genderqueer and any variation.
