On Saturday, November 20 from 10:00 p. m. to 11:30 p. m., the Curtis Nowosad Trio will interpret the music of Juno-winning, alt-country superstar Keri Latimer.
Keri Latimer is the singer/songwriter for the Winnipeg based band Nathan.
Her songs emanate from a sensibility that crosses genres and blends disparate styles. With the group Nathan, she has received a Juno Award and multiple Prairie Music Awards.
George Colligan is a New York-based jazz pianist, organist, drummer, trumpet player, educator, composer and bandleader. He was on the Julliard School faculty for 2 years, and is now Assistant Professor for the U of M's Jazz Studies program.
Bassist Karl Kohut’s virtuosity was recognized in 2006, when he was named the Grand Prize Winner at the Canadian Youth Talent Competition for his solo rendition of Victor Wooten’s A Show of Hands.
Curtis Nowosad has quickly become Winnipeg's go-to drummer. He has already performed in big band and small group settings with some of New York’s finest jazz musicians, including Stefon Harris, Marcus Printup, Ted Nash, Steve Wilson, Miguel Zenón, and his teacher and mentor, Steve Kirby.
