Open Auditions for Volunteer Actors OF ALL AGES to fill roles in 5 New Plays
written by high school students, and directed by professionals.
It’s the 14th annual Scirocco Drama Manitoba High School Playwriting Contest,
produced by Angus Kohm for MAP.
The Finalists Are:

Marcus Schneider, Ecole Selkirk Junior High
Richelle Burchill, West Gate Mennonite Collegiate
Isabella Fiorentino, St Mary’s Academy
Keira Hasenack, St Mary’s Academy
Directors: Megan Andres, Rick Caslake, Jane Walker, Kendra Jones and Tatiana Carnevale.
The plays will be workshopped, rehearsed and given full productions at the
Tom Hendry Warehouse Theatre on May 29 & 30, 2014.

Winnipeg Slam team alum and award-winning performance artist Andrea von Wichert will take the stage as our featured poet! Andrea is a visual artist, writer, performer, and was a member of the Winnipeg Poetry Slam Team from 2006 to 2009. In 2012 she performed as part of PAZZIA Collective’s Sensual Emergency tour of the UK. Her one-woman show Andrea von Wichert is OVEREXPOSED was nominated for the Harry S. Rintoul Award for best new fringe play.
