20 Guitar Circular Wall of Angelic Sound

This unique surround sound experience was curated by Winnipeg musician, Robert G. Menard (Absent Sound, SoHoly HeadCase, Room 237) back in 2005. The Circular Wall enlists 20 guitarists from various local bands of all genres to bring the event to life.

Audience members are set up in a circle in the middle of the room facing out, while the 20 players set up in an outer circle around the audience. The players are split into 4 groups and each group has key roles and designed parts to perform at specific times.

But the prince foils the magician’s plan, and soars into a series of wondrous adventures.

Julia Ryckman is a classically trained opera singer and piano player formerly of post-punk rockers This Hisses. She is involved in her solo project Slattern, and experimental duo Triunfo Do Gato.
