The Ukrainians, by Ukrainian directors Leonid Kanter and Ivan Yasniy, is a documentary, with English subtitles, about the volunteer battalions of Ukraine and the fight for Ukraine’s independence in 2014. It includes first-hand footage from the battle at Donetsk Airport.

The event includes a Q&A session with the film's directors and a hero defender of Donetsk Airport, and a short musical performance by Serhiy "Foma" Fomenko.

The event is organized by Dopomoha Ukraini – Aid Ukraine and Path to Freedom. The tour is a fundraiser, with proceeds going to support Dopomoha Ukraini's Psychological Rehabilitation Program for Ukrainian Soldiers in western Ukraine and “Path to Freedom”, a travelling exhibition dedicated to Ukraine’s Maidan Revolution of Dignity organized by Ukrainian activist musician Serhiy "Foma" Fomenko.
