May 4, 2 pm  Official Opening
This event is free and open to all.
Exhibit runs May 3-June 30
Winnipeg Architecture Foundation, 266 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 0S8
Not a fully accessible building. Entrance at 266 McDermot has seven steps in the lobby, where a portion of the exhibit is displayed. Arthur Street has a ramp entrance.

Architecture has long been a prominent feature of comics. The comics page resembles the grid of a modern building, as each panel offers a window into the characters' lives. Join us in looking at how contemporary Canadian cartoonists are drawing cities, streets, and buildings, exploring architecture as spaces we inhabit and as spaces that inhabit us.
Curated by Mariana Muñoz Gomez (MA in Cultural Studies, UofW)
and Dr. Candida Rifkind (Associate Professor, Department of English, UofW)

Influenced by early 80s video game music, metal and rock music, found-sound and vintage analog synthesis, Dave stacks layers of melody in his tracks. Heavy drums and aggressive synths join forces with rolling grooves and melodic lead lines to create a wide variety of slamming dance floor originals.

Longwalkshortdock performs live PA with live vocals, synthesizers, drum machines, guitar, effects, toys, computers and even some of his own strobes and lighting. Performances at Soundwave 2009 and Shambhala 2010 have made LWSD an artist to watch. He was featured on the legendary Annie Nightingales podcast on BBC radio 1.
