WNDX: The One Take Super 8 Event
Ten cheers for 10 years!  Every year brings surprises as new corners and crevasses of the city are captured in small frames. Each reel of film is the vision of a creative voice using tactile technology amidst a wave of digital devices.

WNDX has fostered many emerging filmmakers through the One Take Super 8 Event who have moved on to other centres, but a new generation is picking up cameras and attacking the challenge of 200 seconds of celluloid with passion and energy.

It’s A Dream
Franklin Fernando and reggae outfit RasTamils
Concert performance & album release party with special guests Keisha Booker, Dr. Love, Ismaila Alfa & DJ

RasTamils brings hope, inspiration through music.
We’re trying to open people’s eyes to what’s happening in the world, says Fernando.
The name RasTamils combines ‘Ras’ (short for Rastafarian) and ‘Tamils’ (the name of Sri Lanka’s minority people). Putting these two words together reflects the hope that Franklin Fernando and his bandmates - Christian DeVoin (bass), J.R. Hill (lead guitar), Andy Castello (keyboards), Maththew Walden (trumpet) and Janice Finlay (saxophone/flute) - share of cultures coming together around the world.    It’s A Dream          Why Am I

Union Events and The Noise are excited to present
Hollywood Undead with Crown The Empire

Traditionally, the Day of the Dead holiday is all about remembrance.
Now Hollywood Undead's fourth full-length album, Day of the Dead, sees the genre-hopping six-piece reflect in a different way. The group - Johnny 3 Tears, J-Dog, Charlie Scene, Danny, Funny Man, and Da Kurlzz - channels the kinetic aggression and wild humour that captivated millions on their platinum-certified 2008 debut Swan Songs, yet they couple it with wisdom and sharp songwriting honed over the course of nearly a decade on the road.
