Meet the Artists Series

Peter Graham will be in residence at the Deep Bay cabin in Riding Mountain National Park from July 2 to 15, 2012.

All are welcome to meet Peter and view an exhibition of selected paintings and original prints, along with new work he has created while at the Deep Bay cabin. 

Peter Graham is a Winnipeg artist whose practice includes painting, drawing, and printmaking.  His work successfully combines fine craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a sense of humour. Peter has exhibited in solo and group shows.  His work is held in both public and private collections in Canada and the United States.

Peter will be researching one of Riding Mountain Park’s most well known and complex residents, Archie Belaney, Grey Owl. The photographs and sketches that he accumulates during the course of his residency will be used to recreate various incidents from Grey Owl’s life through paintings and prints. 

In the spirit of Grey Owl’s conservation message, Peter will be using non-toxic techniques to produce his prints.
