We are excited to present the fourth So You Think You Can Act, a fun fundraiser supporting the transformative theatre work of Sarasvàti Productions. The evening will feature celebrities testing out their acting chops in front of a panel of judges and an audience. This year all scenes will be on the theme of Power Play.
It is you, the audience, who selects the winner!

Hosted by Jon Ljungberg
Judges: Tricia Cooper, Tobias Hughes and Gordon Tanner
Celebrities: Rana Bokhari (Leader of the MB Liberal Party),
Chris Cvetkovic (former Blue Bomber), Andre Lewis (Artistic Director, Royal Winnipeg Ballet), Kelly Linehan (CTV), Romi Mayes (musician), Doug Speirs (Winnipeg Free Press) and Taz Stuart (entomologist)

There will also be hundreds of dollars worth of raffle prizes donated by local businesses, plus the wine reception afterwards!

Past winners include Ace Burpee (Virgin Radio), Kerri Salki and last year’s first place tie between Big Daddy Tazz and Troy Westwood. Audiences have loved seeing a wide-range of talent up on stage performing scenes from the best contemporary plays!
Please note some of the scenes contain strong language.

Enduring Favourite Favourites: Best of the Experimental Film Festival Portland
Curated and introduced by EFF Portland Co-Director Hannah Piper Burns
All of the films we screened each year were wonderful (or horrifying) in their own ways. In making this list I tried to show a range of forms, from dance film to documentary and portrait of place to glitch art, as well as create a tempo in viewing that can connect the pieces across their disparate origins. - Hannah Piper Burns
