This fundraiser features artworks by over 150 artists, some of Winnipeg's biggest artists alongside up-and-comers! There is art for all tastes and budgets. Add cupcakes and stellar raffle baskets, and you have one of the most anticipated cultural events of the spring.

Over the Top Art Auction and Cupcake Party enables MAWA to provide professional, engaging visual art programming, such as our Mentorship Programs, Critical Discussion Groups, Skills-Based Workshops, Artist Lectures and Cross-Cultural Craft Program. Many of these programs are filled, and bring together people from many different backgrounds.

There are 6 steps in the building when you enter from Cumberland (buzz 77 for entry) and an accessible entrance with a ramp when you enter from the east parking lot. MAWA can be accessed by 20 steps. A freight elevator is located at the back of the building (30 paces from the ramp entrance and 65 paces from the front entrance). Call us at 204-949-9490 for assistance. MAWA's space is 15 paces from the elevator.
MAWA washrooms are not accessible. We will open an accessible washroom on the ground floor. All are single occupancy and gender neutral.
MAWA opens 30 minutes before each program is due to begin. ASL interpretation is available for programs with 2 weeks notice.

Each year nearly 3,000 women in our province receive the life-altering news they have cancer. Breast, lung and colorectal are the three most common diagnoses. The Guardian Angel Benefit for Women’s Cancer committee is dedicated to finding a cure for women’s cancers by funding innovative research, treatment and care.

Since the inaugural event in 1992, donors and sponsors have raised nearly $8 million, all of which remains in Manitoba and has enabled the establishment and operation of the Guardian Angel Caring Room, the offering of vital programs at CancerCare Manitoba, personalized patient support and the mobile mammography program.
