Electric Six has often used The Devil as subject matter for its songs because of that last bit, the part about corruption and adulteration. That’s what Electric Six has been trying to do with its music for quite some time! We want to corrupt young women, just like The Devil!

With its fourteenth studio album Bride of the Devil, Electric Six examines the concepts of evil and corruption, humanity’s various falls from grace, the nine circles of purgatory and of course, the internet itself.

And then we get to the title track, a radio anthem, where it all becomes clear that The Devil is a metaphor for Russia and the United States is the young girl who is seduced, corrupted and wedded into a Satanic covenant with the beast.

Finally, the haunting album closer "Worm In the Wood" is Electric Six at its most serious, most tender and emotional. Haunting. Effervescent. Corrupt. Jaundiced. Tired.

Bad Thursday 2019, with The Perpetrators and Ridley Bent
The Perpetrators front-man and founding member Jay Nowicki is rated one of Canada’s tastiest guitar players. Together with the “meat-and-potatoes” rhythm section of Emmet VanEtten and John Scoles (or sometimes founding member Ryan Menard) they deliver a tight, raw and intense blues experience.

The Perpetrators’ albums have garnered WCMA awards and Juno nominations. A European Tour capped off a Juno Nomination and a win at the Western Canadian Music Awards. That decade, The Perps released two more albums, garnering various award nominations. In late 2009, Jay Nowicki teamed up with Romi Mayes for extensive touring, and recorded the critically acclaimed live album Lucky Tonight in 2011.

Ridley Bent is back with his latest release "Wildcard" the anticipated follow up of "Rabbit on My Wheel" showcasing the Western Canada based Country artist's keen fascination for characters whose life on the straight and narrow rarely lasts past the nearest exit to a short, crooked road.

Jonathan Byrd and The Pickup Cowboys are musical gunslingers, vaudevillian hucksters, and old-fashioned tent revivalists. With their new album Pickup Cowboy (2018), they have brought a bold new set of working-class anthems to Americana fans, and a spirit-raising show to back it up.

Opening the show will be local folk darlings, Nation of Two. Founding member of The Duhks, fierce songbird Jessee Havey and husband Nathaniel Good have found so much to see inside each other that they have formed a musical Nation of Two. Their partnership in life is mirrored in their musical lives. Their music comes from such a place of trust and adoration that listeners can't help but be entranced by the magic unfolding before their eyes.

The Barber of Seville - Rossini’s show- stopping music sparkles with wit and charm. It is one laugh after another in this crazy tale of close shaves, disguises, and hilarious antics. The scheming barber and jack-of-all-trades plots to help his friend, the Count, woo the lovely Rosina and enable her to escape the clutches of her lecherous old guardian, Dr. Bartolo. Does Figaro have enough tricks up his sleeve to outfox the old doctor, unite lovers, and save the day?
With loveable characters, catchy music, and pure joy and silliness throughout, it is no wonder this comedic gem still tops the charts in popularity!
Sung in Italian with projected English translations.
