The Manitoba Writers’ Guild celebrates its thirtieth Anniversary with a landmark Symposium of Manitoba Writing May 9–12, featuring keynote speakers, readings,
panels, papers and presentations examining the last 100 years of Manitoba writing.
Keynote speakers Marta Dvorak and Aritha Van Herk will present on Manitoba writing;
Dick Harrison and Ted Dyck will speak about Manitoba fiction and poetry respectively.
Explore Manitoba aboriginal, Mennonite and Franco-Manitoban writing.
Listen to publishers talk about writers, and writers talk about Manitoba nonfiction, Manitoba young adult fiction, and the challenges facing those who live outside Winnipeg.
The celebration ends with a words & music cabaret.
