A dinner (IN THE DARK!) to fund the Burma Eye Care Project.
”when you eat food in the dark, your senses are heightened to savour the smell and taste of food." - Moe Alameddine, owner of a Montreal dine-in-the-dark restaurant
...and everyone gains a better understanding of what it’s like to be blind.
This is a grassroots fundraising effort to provide eyecare to hundreds of Burmese refugees on the Thai-Burma border.
Your donation will send an optometrist and two translators to four refugee camps in Thailand in February 2012.
Order tickets from Burma Eye Care Project or email James Johnston.
$80 buys one dinner and eyecare for TWO refugees
